    This is in my top 5 list

    This is an older movie that ALOT of people do not even know about. No, its not a giant block buster, not in the league of Star Wars and such, BUT, I ranks in my top 5 because its just a Great movie, that you will not forget. Saw this years ago and have been waiting to see it on TV again but it just doesn't show up. Recently I was talking to my daughter in law about the top 5 movies she has seen and I mentioned this and she said "Never heard of it" so I picked this up for her, AND a copy for myself. You'll, sigh, laugh, maybe cry a bit, and be on the edge of your seat at times. Its an unexpected Gem, so Treat yourself and family to this and you will not be disappointed.

    I can't think of any other title than The Bear

    A lesson to be learned let wildlife alone and don't try to kill the animals. A good movie that involves this bear cub that loses its' mother. Only poachers want to take this cub captive. Pretty scenery.

    Superb nature film

    This is not a documentary but rather a drama. But the two leading roles are played by actual bears. The director did some ingenious work, scripting as he went and creating believable bear-characters who develop and grow within an engaging plot. Can't recommend this highly enough. Probably suitable for all age groups, though Mama Bear doesn't make it through the first scene and Baby Bear does have a flashback dream about her later on. Minimal parental guidance suggested. There is no blood or fear in Mama's demise. Significant animal violence is portrayed later in the movie, but only the smallest of children might be worried. The main theme here is the nobility of animals in the wild, and the movie was supervised by the Humane Society, to keep all animal actors safe.

    Heart warming and really well done movie !!!!

    Good movie and a DVD was in excellent condition. Throughout the entire movie playback, only once it froze due to some microscopic scratch but I fast-forwarded quickly and it played on with only losing a few seconds of the movie. This is only one reason I gave 4 out of 5 rating. If there is a way to rate 4.5, I would have done it. Other than that, I have nothing else to say anything else to say but I enjoyed the movie.

    One of the best movies ever made.

    In my opinion this is one of the best movies ever made. I have seen it numerous times and decided to buy it and share with my friends. The directing is unbelievable and you will fall in love with the little bear. If you are a hunter you might think twice about ever shooting another animal. A must see for the whole family.
