About this product

Product Information

A wonderfully crisp script and quick-paced direction distinguishes this film about an alien creature discovered near an Arctic outpost. Members of a scientific research team cart the frozen pilot back to camp where it thaws out--much to their regret.

  • The thing on VHS colorized version. So far there's no DVD colorized version

It's really a nice version of the thing for once we get to actually see what the thing looks like in color but,.. my only complaint is that half a scene is missing from this version. Which is truly the company's fault in doing so when they recorded this version.. and it's the scene that follows after they brought the thing back on ice and the captain set up the watch hours for guarding the thing.. there's a scene that follows that when the captain is in the cruise bunk room and he's shining his shoes and talking with his co-pilot that's lying down on the bunk talking about how the scientists are acting like school kids fussing over a new fire engine well that scene is completely missing and it jumps all the way to the scene that follows that when one of his crewmen comes in and speaks with the captain in regards to shortening the guard hours over the thing because his first guard is really getting nervous about being alone with that thing on ice. If anyone has a copy of it on DVD they will know the same I am talking about.. other than that it's a great colorized version just wished they would have come out with that on DVD it would be a whole lot better especially if it were Blu-ray
