It has often been stated that "once a hit band does a movie title song, you can kiss them goodbye". After the movie "Secret of my Success" starring Michael J. Fox I had a bad feeling it would be a long time before rock fans heard from Night Ranger again. Their 1988 "Man in Motion" album was well received although no hits came out of the recording and it seemed the band went into hiding. Of course a live album was put out and a greatest hits volume popped into the stores, but no new news on the band. It wasn't until 1990 that I heard Jack Blades in the group Damn Yankees that I started to find out what the band was involved in. They had split up and and a new album was being produced minus Jack blades, Jeff Watson and Alan Fitzgerald. Gary Moon was added on bass and vocals. The album was released in 1995. They didn't produce any hit songs from this album although in my opinion it has a ring of Def Leppard to many of the songs contained in it. Not bad for being out of the mix for 7 years. The soundtracks have a good listening quality and lyrics are still audible. I would recommend this album to fans of Night Ranger. After playing it loud three times you'll enjoy it too.Read full review
Excellent cd for all aor and Night Ranger fans. Missing are Jack Blades, Jeff Watson and Fitz. But Kelly and Brad along with Gary Moon add a new slightly harder edge to this cd. The original line-up is still my favorite but this is a nice addition in a time when most of the band was pursuing other projects.
