  • Great Old Movie - Made even better

There are 2 versions of this movie. This one from 1947 and a newer version from 1994. By far this is the better version. With this disk set you can watch the original in all it's B&W glory or watch the same version colorized. I'm not a big fan of colorized versions of old movies but in this case I make an exception. The colors of Christmas really add to the viewing enjoyment. If you like the older version with all the Christmas values and colors this is the disk set to have.

  • Yes Susan there is a Santa Claus

This is the original 1947 movie in black and white. Susan is the little girl in the movie played by Natalie Wood that does not believe in Santa Claus. The title of my review is a spin on the newspaper editorial that stated: "Yes Virginia there is a Santa Claus." There is a scene in Macy's Santa line when Kris Kringle who says he is Santa Claus speaks to a little girl in Dutch. Her surprise and delight with a wide smile on her face showing two missing front teeth will bring a smile to your face and a tear to your eye. Anyone who does not believe in Santa Claus needs to watch this movie.

  • An annual movie to watch between Thanksgiving and Christmas

This is a movie I have to watch every year 2 to 3 times between Thanksgiving and Christmas. It is very engaging and heartwarming and, yes, there is a Santa in the heart of everyone who has the opportunity to give someone something that they can believe in.

  • "Miracle On 34Th Street (1947)"

DVD Colorized version was a new, but nice experience. This original version is our Christmas family favorite and is a totally wholesome movie that is appropriate for viewers of any age.

A favorite Christmas movie for our family and one of my favorites from childhood. So much more enjoyable and charming than the stupid holiday films out these days.
