    Ice Man Cometh

    My favorite play...lengthy and rarely performed...that is why I wanted the DVD...have watched both versions..1960's with Jason Robard and 1973 version with Lee Marvin...both have their plus and minus moments...1960's is black and white with plenty of production flaws i.e. shadows from crew and cameras, ceiling mikes visible...bad focus and grainy screen...but the power of the play and the actors outweigh the production flaws...

    Unwatchable!

    Badly deteriorated picture quality, very bad sound quality cannot be understood, no captions, #2 disc will not play at all and tried many times. Our machine says it cannot be played. I will be returning this item, if possible.

    Powerful O'Neil Play

    This is the best version of the Iceman Cometh that I have seen. Jason Robard's performance is powerful. The was a live production in 1960 for TV. Highly recommended.

    This a dark, but reality based play, which examines the inner psyche of multiple characters down on their luck and the illusory world they live in. The actors are first rate and you can’t find this level of drama in today’s entertainment.
