Product Information

Fred Ward stars in this early 1980s science fiction movie as Lyle Swann, a motorcross racer who, while traveling through Mexico on his bike, gets caught in a time warp and sent back to the 1870s. Unaware that anything has happened, Swann soon finds himself nearly out of gas and finds the nearest town. Though the locals express fear and confusion when he approaches them in his racing gear and asks where the nearest gas station is, he still doesn't realize that anything has happened. Unfortunately, he runs into a gang of criminals who not only rape and kill at will, but take him for a demon.

    Time Rider DVD

    Saw this as a kid and loved it - fun for the young adult and for those that saw it in their youth but a bit sand-bagged for older adults who had no prior knowledge - the ending change that they forced upon the viewer (not the original and no option for the alternate as a choice) really left it lacking for me -and was y a huge climatic disappointment for my expectation - not sue what Anchor Bay was thinking when they choose to omit it. If I would have had prior knowledge to buying it I would have probably kept searching for an original or paid a lot less. All in all it is still a cool movie.
