The Best of the 1981 Wolves on Film
My personal favorite wolf movie from 1981. An American Werewolf in London and The Howling got the most attention that year, but in my opinion, this is the best of the three. Gripping, compelling, scary, and a great thriller with a powerful message. The dvd played perfectly without any skips or interruptions. Sound and picture quality was good. The dvd case was fine, too. Overall, an A+.

Just not how I remembered it
This was one of my favorite sci-fi / horror movies when it first came out, but it's showing it's age now and it just doesn't hold up these days. Gregory Hines gives a great though short performance as the forensic expert. There a few jump scares, but the special effects are unremarkable, and the wide screen addition doesn't really add much. The story seems rushed and just not fleshed out.

Lets the viewer know it is about more than one wolf.
I like the combination of black and white film, with the contrast of red and blue colors as seen through the wolves eyes.Makes it very scary.
