Large amounts of "filler" scenery, of showing something-- anything-- while the story kind of baked from the inside out, a nonsense set up, even worse nonsense in how the government handles it, how people are affected by a so called toxic material-- with some beautiful photography, acting that varies from very good to "ouch, why" as it struggles through an underthought plot that really was not long enough for the story in question, and that wasn't handled all the well in shooting or editing, either. Not as bad as some of the stuff out there, but not really recommended. .
It was a great movie. How Meg Tilly had to figure out what was happening in her town.

This is an excellent movie focusing on the dangers that happen when Big Brother screws up. Similar to the recently released movie The Crazies in my opinion Impulse is a much stonger movie. There are two well established actors in the principal roles-Meg Tilly and Tim Matheson-and both deliver strong performances. After seeing this you might think twice before you drink your next glass of milk.
Awsome!

I had this movie years ago. Very suspenseful, keeps your attention and based on what I call unknown truth. Meaning that it's a story on what has happened in real life but, is unexplainable for sure if it happened the way the movie relays it.
Erotic Thriller. Tim Matheson and Meg Tilly give terrific performances. I saw the movie a long time ago and have been searching for a copy to add to my collection.
It's a great older film. Shot in the 1984 and recently released on DVD. The movie deals with a disaster in a small town that makes all the inhabitants act out on all their impulses... The movie does not pull any punches and can get quite racy at times. The acting is good (for the eighties, I guess) and the story is interesting. Meg Tilly is delicious! A fun watch...
