This is a EW&F on Maurice White's own label Kalimba in 2003.First off, the music is good. There's some wonderful singing by Maurice and Phillip Bailey. Some on point solos, And some nice love songs. But this doesn't "feel" like an Earth Wind and Fire release. It feels more like a Maurice White release. And that could never be a bad thing. It's just that EW&F embodied so many great and wonderful things that this release doesn't capture the whole essence of who they are. This feels and sounds like a scaled down version of the band. Not very in your face. And not many moments that grab you by the throat. Smooth and a little watered down. But I don't hate this CD.So I think It would be wise not to rush this one. Don't expect to be bowled over. Just let the best moments take you by surprise. So I suggest if you're a die hard EW&F fan, don't,be disappointed, But be flexible. Be of open mind.

  • ELECTRIC LOVE

EARTH WIND & FIRE ARE THE BEST OF ANY BAND!. DECADES AND STILL STANDING TALL. THIS CD IS WORTH THE MONEY. EACH SONG WRITTEN BY THE ONE & ONLY MAURICE WHITE. THE LEADER OF THE BAND. MANY HITS AND CHART STOPPERS.
