It wasn't that long ago that a microwave synthesised signal generator cost thousands. Ok, there's a bit more to add to this one, but what the heck, it's a great frequency source that works to over 4GHz. The May 2018 edition of Silicon Chip (Australia) magazine has an article on this module and software to drive it.
