Used to love this when it was on tape (shows my age) - fabulous CD - great voices - very happy with this purchase.
Classic record must be her best ever album, stands the test of time still as good as the first time I heard it
In the latter half of the 1970s, Barbra Streisand was better known for her film work, while the Bee Gees were red hot thanks to their songs on the multi-million selling soundtrack of 'Saturday Night Fever.' This album changed the perception of Streisand from a song-and-dance artist who made the odd film to a bona fide popular singer. The singles kicked off with the strident 'Woman in Love' a number 1 on both sides of the Atlantic, and a radio staple to this day, and if the hits thereafter got smaller, she maintained a reputation as a blockbusting act who to this day can command ticket prices of £150 or more. For the brothers Gibb, meanwhile, there was no way but down for most of the eighties, but they lived to score more hits.
I bought this album as an L.P. when it was oriiginally released, when I was 20 something!which is now lurking in my attic somewhere? It was great to get it on cd, timeless, fantastic songs, just like meeting an old friend again!especially after my dear wife surprised me with a trip to see Streisand live in Las Vegas for my 50th birthday!nothing can top that!
I bought this because I was madly in love at the time, it brings back bitter sweet memories now but is such a beautiful cd, Barbras voice is so haunting and hits just where it hurts. Duets with Barry Gibb work wonderfully well and think this cd will never date, its a classic in it's own time.
exellent music from a great star some her best songs on a great cd with great back up from barry gibb makes a uneike cd
I still love this album as much today as when i brought the original on Vinyl.. there are many good tracks on the album that were not released as a single Barry Gibb did an amazing job and their voices blend beautifully
Barbra Streisand - Guilty is an all time evergreen classic album. I bought the CD version because, over the years since its first publication, I have worn out 2 vinyl and 1 cassette copies!
