Way better than stock cooler, and also much better than the deep cool gamma archer. I have an i7 7700k 4.2 - 4.5 GHz and the gamma archer let it get to 90 deg Celsius pretty quickly (about a min iirc) during stress test. This heat sink and fan temp stabilized at 81 deg Celsius. Tested with prime 95 (maximum cpu heat stress test). I like that it is directional and I have a rear fan helping to direct the heat blown by this directly out of the case keeping case temps quite low at approx 30 deg celcius with 25 degree room temp. Feels a little loose in fitting -I can rotate it much easier than I would like, but i am using the mount that came with the gamma archer and the thermal paste that came with it was quite viscous -I will definitely be changing that as it is some unbranded stuff, but wanted to see if it worked. I liked this enough to buy a second for my sons computer which adopted the gamma archer cooler -that thing is way better than stock but terrible if you have an i7 that hits 4ghz, might be ok for an i5 or lower ghz i7. Cheap, and does a really good job of keeping my i7-3770 cool, but it arrived a bit banged up and the top layer of metal fins needed to be straightened out. The mounting system looks a bit pants but is actually quite secure. Can't comment on the included thermal compound as I used my usual silver-based compound instead. The fan in my unit came with a strange issue - The blades appear to have been moulded slightly off centre (or the axle wasn't pressed in to the hub straight) so the unit has a weird vibration. Not the end of the world as I'd planned on swapping it for a better quality 92mm fan anyway. Still, it's reasonably quiet, and the thermal performance is quite good considering the price, under sustained full load my CPU only hits about 55-60 degrees, versus 70-75 with the Intel stock cooler. Great price for performance, the fan it came with I swapped out for a noctua fan so I'm getting less noise than stock. It was a little difficult to get my head around how to install the socket. I eventually realised all the pins that come with it are for the installation of it, doesn't help that the instructions were in Chinese and also showed using some of the pins to mount an additional fan on the side. Overall I'm happy with the end result

Sorry for the delay it is a very nice item however I was expecting a 4 pin cpu fan
