GPS Cases & Skins in Electronics

GPS Cases and Skins

All electronics, including GPS, need protection in order to save them from bumps, drops, and scratches. The easiest way to do this is with a case or skin that surrounds the entire device protecting the front, sides, and back. There are two major types. The first is similar to what you would put on your phone; it stays on, and you use the GPS with the case attached. The second is a carrying type, and you use it only when you're not using the device, storing it away.

Carrying Case

Your GPS holder needs to be moisture proof, shockproof, and anti-static. One with a stiffer design will reduce the stress on your device; plus, it will keep the case from deforming over time. With a slip type cover, the screen shows through, allowing you to keep the product protected while in use.

Mountable Cases

Motorbike GPS covers and bags with a mount holder are ideal for long bike rides. It attaches firmly to the handlebar, and you can set it wherever you need to easy viewing. It only takes a quick glance to know you are still going the right way and when you will arrive at your destination.

Know Your Size

The key to getting a product that will work is to know what size GPS you own. While it's true that universal GPS cases and skins fit most any brand, they will not fit any size system. A 7-inch device will not fit into a 4-inch case.

Material Matters

One more thing to consider before you make your purchase is the type of material comes on the cover. A popular choice is a neoprene GPS case or skin because of how well they stand up to wear and tear of frequent use.
