The Ul-Tech brand camera is better than most, but has some minor issues. The camera itself is apparently reasonably weatherproof, but the SD access hatch screws rust meaning that it might be hard to open them in a few months. The camera is relatively easy to pair as long as you remember not to install any SD card until it is paired. How the plastic casing will go in the hot sun in the long run is unknown. The software with the camera is 360 eyes. This is easy to install on a phone and has capability to install on PC, but the PC version of the software does not have any capability to zoom, only pan. Footage cannot be fast forwarded for review on PC or phone. Phone software is quite comprehensive, it is easy to add another camera or rename the existing ones. It is advisable to install the fastest micro SD card that you can, as anything too slow results in poor quality pictures and freezing. The camera will park itself in a viewing position that it remembers after you set it a few times. The camera is capable of tracking, but unfortunately at night if any security lights go on the camera will turn itself towards them and miss the all important triggering footage. Installing two or three cameras to surveil the area would be the best bet to overcome this. Field of vision is good and distortion free. The camera requires 12V to run and the provided mains adaptor meets Australia/NZ standards and has enough cable. The wireless signal strength from the camera is good, I have no connection issues over an extended area. Overall this camera is good value for money, I have found running them in tandem with a fixed wire NVR system is the best way to ensure thorough coverage.Read full review

The camera seemed to work OK out of the box, although was not very straight forward to connect. Once connected, it stayed on the network for a couple of days and then said we had no permission to connect via the YouSee app. After factory resetting the device we were able to get it to connect intermittently, but it continued to disconnect and remove permissions. It is limited to 2.4GHZ WIFI which may have caused our problems as the 2.4GHZ WIFI bands are very congested. I have recently been able to get it working by forcing our 2.4GHZ WIFI connection to connect on Channel 1 only. I worked through all 13 available channels and this was the only one that worked for us. The general functionality is pretty good but this connection issue could be a deal breaker if you need something reliable... and if you want something to just Plug and Play, the initial set-up may be a bit tricky for some.Read full review

The camera was easy to set up. The picture is goo. The iPhone/iPad app works well. The PC (windows) App is clunky. There’s not much documentation in the box but just a small leaflet. This camera takes a 128GB micro SD or you can use their cloud to record with a 30 day trial and some cost after. Not much opportunity for streaming/interoperability with other devices such the tv.

Really easy to set up and link to phone - view angle a bit narrow for inside small room use. Low light and motion detect really good.

I had no problem setting it up. 30 minutes tops and I’m not tech savvy. The instruction manual even had the code to download the best app for the camera. It’s a good clear picture with good range on the front of the house. I’m happy with my first so I’m getting another for the back.
