Been using for 2 years. Feel is very soft. No jarring when hitting even mis-hits. Vibration damping really works. If you hit consistently in the center of club, these are the irons to get. High hcp players need more forgiveness. Easy to shape ball flight. Also easy to keep low for "into wind" shots. Definitely 10 hcp or lower players clubs. Only drawback - forged irons are easy to ding up and show wear and the Clevelands are no different.
Paid only $46 for these. They are a nice set of playable irons. Don't be fooled by those who say you have to be a Low Handicap to hit forged irons. I regularly shoot in the high nineties, but can still hit these irons just as well as any cast set I've owned. ( I just can't hit a Driver or chip consistently ) These irons do ding fairly easily, so if you're looking for a set to impress your buddies with at the bag drop, these aren't it. If you want an inexpensive set of irons you can shape your shots with, find a set of these and give them a try!
I did not play golf for 25 years because of kids, education, and work. I came back this summer. I first got the Driver and recovery metal. But I was hitting my 1975 spalding elite centurions well after I got new gripes. In fact I established an 8 handicap. But friends said anything modern would be easier to hit and longer than my old blades. I settled on the TA3 because they look almost like my blades and I found a loaner set to try. They added distance, at least 10 yards per club and I think accuracy. If you are a beginner try something more forgiving but for shaping shots and good distance and height these do live up to the good reviews I have seen elsewhere. My buddies don't like how well I played today infact.
I am a golf junkie, I play year round, and Im also a range rat. I am constantly practicing. When I came across these irons, I was a lil' suspicious, only coz' they're bout 10 yrz. old. That being said, I am so glad i tried them. They have very good feel, soft, yet forgiving. They are a forged iron with a slight cavity back to them. So they are a bit forgiving, but they are not cast/shovel irons... They also have a lil heft to them as far as weight goes, but I like my irons on the heavy side. they also play a bit longer than average and the flight of the ball is pretty nice. Medium high, and they are workable. I would put these irons against anything coming out today....HANDS DOWN, and you wont even have to worry bout that stupid groove rule in affect... If you can find a set give them a shot, Last but not least, they are also very pretty to look at in you're bag!!! I promise....Read full review
These clubs were rated as very used but they turned out to be almost like new! New grips were installed but whoever installed them did not do a very good job installing them. A couple of them were not pushed completely down but were loose enough to push down which showed they need more grip tape. Overall I am very pleased with this purchase. I'm sorry Cleveland no longer makes ta gunmetal clubs.
