I mainly play a Newport 2, but the Newport Mil Spec rolls as sweet as any Newport that is made. I would recommend this putter tp anyone who can afford to play with the best. No matter what your handicap is, you will become a better putter with this Cameron Masterpiece in your hands. Caution: Don't expect to walk out on the course without practicing first. I am a firm believer in knowing everyone of your clubs and what you need to do to make it perform at its best! It is 99 percent the golfer, but that one percent of having the right equipment and knowing it like you have had it forever is the key to making putts with confidence!
Great putter, easy alignment, works for me.

well this putter is awesome can tell already by just rolling balls indoor..coming from a old cleveland classic 2 old version...when ppl speak of softness i now know what they mean........and this is my first high price name brand putter will b searching for different putters to compare thanxx scotty total confidence in it and i havent played in real conditions yet ....
The Mill-Spec is a great putter. There is only a few things that might distract some golfers from using it with confidence.I find the white sight line in certain lighting situations can blend in with the platinum finish.I may Have it customized black. Also the head is considerably smaller than the studio models.I still find this putter to work as well as the studio models.
This is the best puuter I have ever owned. Unlike insert putters, you can hear the putter when it makes contact with the ball. The soft metal imparts feel to your hands, so you feel connected. After a few strokes, you begin to make much more solid contact with the ball, than with other putters I have used.
The Scotty Cameron Mil Spec putter is the closest production putter you can buy to custom made. The loft and lie are adjustable and the overall design is timeless. An older Mil Spec with some obvious usage signs can be refinished to new condition and last for years. This is the original pro platinum finish that launched Scotty's later Studio Stainless and Studio Style lines. You can't go wrong with a Mil Spec Newport.
Love this putter much better than my studio stainless with the insert. Great feeling putter and rolls the ball true. For my taste the ball comes off the face to hot on the studio stainless with the insert. Although thats a great putter to say the least this one just feels better at impact. This putter is a great "feel" putter but really you can't go wrong with most of Scotty's designs.
The putter grip is original equipment on the Scotty Cameron putter, and I like things to stay original. It's a decent size grip, not too big, and not as small as the "Dancing Scotty" grip, and they seem to last a long time. I have the red Baby T grip, so if I ever want to add some variety to my bag, I now have a black grip.
Scotty takes custom fitting to a mass production model. Good crisp feel from the platinum finish. Able to buy a putter with the exact dimensions listed on the item. Beautiful looks. Holds it's value really well.
