Product Information

Starring Lenny Henry, who has appeared in many groundbreaking British comedy productions since the 1980s, CHEF! sees him playing an overbearing head chef, Gareth Blackstock, who works in the kitchen of a posh restaurant called Le Chateau Anglais. Grappling with his staff whose collective enthusiasm for the job wanes with every passing second, Gareth's attempts to motivate his workers and keep the restaurant's reputation afloat result in some hilarious scenes. The BBC has a well-deserved reputation for producing timeless comedy classics, and they've done it again with CHEF! The first three seasons of the show are collected here.

    Love the Chef set

    Excellent set for a great price. Beware the 3rd season! As it is really different in tone and style. The first 2 seasons are funny and sharp. The 3rd season is not really worth watching.

    Great Show, Poor DVD transfer.

    Great show, poor DVD transfer. Looks like a VHS copy burned to the disc. Grainy picture quality. 4:3 ratio is meh. DVD menu looks like it was made on a 1990s clip art program. Feels like a bootleg for the lack of effort put into this release. I'd pay good money for a HD version of this show. I suppose this will have to do....better than poor internet uploads but not by much.

    This plays perfectly ( watching it now) and the main character is overbearing , self centered,rude, critical and arrogant,also funny as all get out! I remember seeing this on PBS years ago and I like the memories it brings back. In my opinion this was a steal for the price!!!!
