I wore out my old one after about 10 years of regular use. Nothing matches the print quality...I love this printer!!

You can share special photos with friends and family very inexpensively. Very, easy to make copies from a digital camera card or from a computer with USB cord. So thrilled to have. Will pay for it's self in no time. Great quality and prints last longer than at photo shop copies. Absolutely love mine. I purchased the Epson PictureMate to make duplicate copies of my wedding. It was a small wedding and the pictures were very easily made into some to share. The copies were a few cents to make and it won't break the bank, to make extra photos. It is also great for scrapbooking...you can but borders around pictures, crop the pictures, Zoom, and have fun with creating your photos.
I'd been eying personal photo printers for quite awhile. I'm an avid scrapbooker and even though it is cheaper to have them sent to WalMart or Walgreens it's sometimes necessary just to print some on the spot. I didn't need to even look at the instructions, it was all very simple to use and self explanatory. Epson printers in general have good quality photo printing and don't break your wallet when it comes to ink purchase. I actually found a better deal on ink cartridges on eBay rather than in the stores. I used standard 4x6 photopaper with good results. You can either plug this unit in or have it run on it's battery. The quality of the photos are wonderful. I've had no problems with jambing papers like with Kodak EasyShare printer. The price is certainly right for this unit as well. Approximately $100 brand new or wait and watch for a good deal here on eBay. Mine was $42.00 total including shipping on a used unit. Watch shipping gougers in the electronics department.Read full review
Portable 4x6 photo printers offer the convenience of instant photo printing – no need to go to a nearby photo studio and wait for half an hour or so for prints. Although regular inkjet printers and multifunction devices that cost much less can also print 4x6 photos, portable photo printers are all about convenience and quality. With these tiny lunch-box sized printers, you don’t need a PC to print photos, plus they can also use battery packs as an alternate power source, while you’re on the move. One such printer is the newly launched Epson PictureMate PM 245, which makes printing 4x6 photos a breeze
