Manual not very helpful. Worked it out in end though through trial error. 2nd type I've bought and this is far better than my previous one. Heats up very quickly and fan on this one cools down quicker than my last one. Very well priced for what you get.

I have used several different brands of these cook tops I would not recommend this 1 to anyone it is useless cheap & nasty. This 1 has a very small coil / heating area compared to others I have used. Having such a small heating area / coil it will not give an even heat over a large frying pan. It only heats a 4" 100 mm circle in the center. At maximum setting this cooker while using a 7" 180mm frying pan only simmers 1/2" 12 mm deep water in a 4" 100 mm circle in the center it will not aggressively boil the water. See my picture below it shows the frying pan with the water as mentioned after 3 minutes of heating / boiling If you used a larger frying pan you would have a hot spot in the center & would not get even heating

Controls are easy to operate and display is bright and clear. Heats very quickly and works well. The fan is a little noisy, but not as loud as an air fryer. I havent bothered with the preset settings, just using the plus and minus to get the temperature I want. Can be used on a bench top, but I have recessed mine.

The Induction Cooktop does the job quicker and cleaner. One has to get used to the noise of the fan. But yes, it is a good product.

I've been using induction cooktops for years. So far, so good. If it lasts as long as the last brand I had, it will earn, "The best induction cooktop I've ever had' status. Lots of control with this model.
