Very rugged, maybe a little difficult for prep kids to use
At about 1/4 the cost of our 2017 ipad I thought it might be too expensive, however the build quality, ruggedness and features are well worth it. A well thought out cover with the hard case stand built in. Screen protection is great as well.

Otterbox defender 5th gen ipad
A high quality tough case that fully covers the ipad. The front cover clips on for maximum protection. Really good for ipad protection in the kids school bag. (ipads were made compulsory by our school). Front cover then clips off to also become a stable base or clips back onto the back of the case. With front cover as a base the ipad can sit landscape/portrait and at a two angles. Flat angle for typing and steeper angle for watching. Has a clear front screen protection which still allows good touch and fingerprint scanner to work but I removed the clear plastic front cover and used a glass screen protector instead because I prefer the feel but that may make the case a bit less water/dust resistant. Otherwise a well fitting case that looks great and feels comfortable and not overly bulky.

An oldie but a goodie!
Brand new iPad 2017, and all you get down at Harvey Norman is book type screen exposed iPad covers, no life proof, no griffen .. but always otterbox, and the defender is definitely one of the best, for sheer longevity I have had one of these on an iPad 2 for going on 8 years, and its lasting the distance, this will have the same expectation, as it has the same look same feel. It's a good choice of cover .. and if your buying through phonelord, you will even get I super quick, highflying recommended all round!

Help keep ipad safe for longer
