Attitude filled thrash metal with heavy metal elements delivered with aggressive conviction and great passion is what this album is all about. All these songs play standard fast-paced guitar runs. The powerful bass guitar is rumbling and audible in the mix with its metallic tone. The backing chants still complement the drums constant blasts. Ron is a skilled drummer delivering powerful beats. Dave and Derek deliver raw and edgy thrash-y riffing throughout the album. Bobby's vocals are just as snarling, energetic, angry and high-pitched as ever. His relentless rasp gives songs such as track 2 and Pig their fire and the sound is wrapped up with the same crispy, trebly production job and still matches the writing and performances nicely. Each track does have a certain quirk or tempo change that keeps things from sounding the same. It's most apparent in the second half thanks to the vocal effects on Another Day To Die and the epic flair of Freedom Rings and In The Name, though the shifts on Bitter Pill, in the style of Necroshine, make it the biggest deviation and strongest highlight. This album is an enthralling, well-paced blast of metal. Read full review
