Perfect for running IPFire
I needed to replace a very old piece of hardware I was using to run my home firewall. The old hardware seemed to be dying, as it couldn't handle the full throughput for my high speed cable internet. I found this Zotac box and it looked perfect. Low energy use, quiet, 2 NICs and built in wireless. The firewall distro I use is IP fire. Installed the 64 bit version of IPfire and everything worked out of the box, including the wireless, so I'm also able to use it as a wireless access point. The best part is now I'm able to get the full throughput of my cable internet (150Mbps) and all devices in the house now have much better internet speed. This is a must with 2 people working remotely, and 2 students learning remotely.
