    "Light, fun loving fare with wonderful veteran actors"

    She is a HOOT ! ! Her guest stars are as well. I love Lionel Jefferies as the zany captain in, " Ship Ahoy". I also have long liked the character actor sidekick that Margaret Rutherford had in," Murder At The Gallop". Clean, silly, fumbling fun. Highly recommend it to anyone who loves Agatha Christie. Dame Rutherford was by far the best actress in her portrayal of Miss Marple. Janele Coleman

    Wonderful character actress.

    I have always loved Margaret Rutherford. She is totally charming and fun as Miss Marple. Of the four films I would rate Murder at the Gallop as the best. And we get to see Margaret on a horse, side saddle no less. Wonderful stuff. I can watch these over and over and never be bored.

    To be honest, Margaret Rutherford, who is a great actress, isn't my favorite Miss Marple but I still really enjoy these films. Made in the 60's, a different style of production to the later Miss Marples and watching a different interpretation is great fun.
