The VAX carpet cleaner is light but would only give it 5 out of 10 as it takes a lot of effort to get the carpet clean .
You can only use it on the floor carpet not the stairs because it has no attachment had to go over the carpet six times before I was satisfied did not remove all the stains .Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

A Major improvement in Vax carpet cleaning.
We bought the new Vax carper Cleaner to get a tool which would make carpet cleaning easier than using our over 20 year old original style Vax machine (which still does a good job!). The new machine was so much easier to use and did an even better job, especially when the machine was steered such that the rotary brushes were able to 'brush up' the pile. Being Asthmatic and allergic to dust mite, I take cleaning carpets fairly seriously. This new machine did the job nicely and with ease when using the Vax cleaning fluid. It cleans up spills quickly too. :) If it kept on doing the same job for as many years and it did upholstery, I could give it five stars but therein lies the rub the new one is made in The P R C (Peoples Republic of China) and doesn't do upholstery. It looks well enough built but only time will tell. Anyway, first impressions are pretty good and the Vax W86-DP-B Dual Power Upright Carpet Cleaner Washer is a lot easier to use than the old Vax machine and it appears to do a better job, it certainly did a better job than a professional carpet cleaning machine we hired a few years ago. The only drawback appears to be that it appears not to be usable on upholstery so we'll have to use the old Vax for upholstery when needed.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Proper job done
After moving into our new home first thing I noticed was the carpet in the lounge was dirty with some coffee staines and generally in cared for . Well my machine sorted all the Staines and general grime out of the carpet and brought back to almost new . Easy to use and the carpet solution instructions easy to follow . Works extremely well , water is black everytime i wash my carpets !!!!!
