Even though this tool is very cheap it seems to be a very good working tool. The crimping action seems to be smooth and the ratcheting feature seems to work excellent without any defects and firmly locks into place. The fact that you get a pipe cutter and some clamps is icing on the cake. I would buy this item again if I ever need it or a friend ever needed it

The product arrived complete, as shown, however the cutting tool does not function. It is difficult to open and then there is no ratcheting action and/or cutting movement. When coled as if finished with a cut the spring ratchet mechanism actually exceeds the range of the ratchet teeth and makes it neccessary to pry and reset it, only to find it doesn't function. The pex tool and rings appear to be fine. Haven't fixed the sink yet.

I used these tools to add a whole house water filter & softener. The main line was PEX. Connecting fittings was super easy and held securely. This is a screaming deal for a quality product for the average homeowner.

Good stuff. Had bought at Lowe's. Returned it before opening after seeing this deal. Fast shipping. Good tool to have. Only issue (as I assume it would happen with any type) you have to lift the blade with your fingers, then rachet down, I find it odd. I never used a pair before, it's the only way I see do be able to do it, unless I'm doing it wrong. Anyway. Good buy! Thx

The crimp tool is not cheap feeling at all and works great. The pipe cutting tool works great but takes a few cuts to get used to. It does not spring open-you wave to spread the handles before each cut. It confused me at first but it works as designed and is very helpful. I started to adapt a couple pipes to PEX, because of a leak, and ended up ripping out most of the old rusted steel pipe so far. I could wipe a rust paste out of the pipes which are about 30 yrs old. FYI-MN Well water. I started at the water main, which was a bear to loosen but well worth it. The end of the water main only had a 1/4" hole because of the rust buildup in the end fitting. Something to check if you start there. My water pressure almost doubled. I used all 1/2 and 3/4. I also added an easily accessible water main shut-off valve too for emergencies and future plumbing maintenance. FYI-you don't have to remove ALL the old pipe of course-just the stuff in your way. The funniest part is that I've never done any real plumbing before and I got through it fine. Even If you make a couple mistakes, I DID, its easy to correct and the pipe is cheap. It has cost me about $250 so far-TO RE-PLUMB MY WHOLE HOME. PEX is not only very simple and clean but inexpensive too-very satisfied.Read full review
