Great Dose of '80s Nostalgia
Always good for a trip down memory lane. The G1 animated TF movie inadvertently became a cult classic. The way it handles a beloved character initially made it a financial and fan failure. All the filmmakers wanted to do with it was to eliminate the first wave of toys characters, then advertise the next wave. But in addition to that they actually accidentally touched the minds and hearts of millions of kids worldwide. Eventually fans forgave them for it and learned to appreciate all that this little movie offers. This package is overflowing with extras, spread across both discs. Forget these new Transformer movies. I mean Megatron and Optimus go at it to the death in the beginning of the movie? How awesome is that?
