This calculator is great for any lower level math/physics/engineering class. The display area is big enough to easily see, the contrast can be easily adjusted, and the features are extensive. You can program your own functions, equations, etc. in memory. There are Standard math, graphing, conics, financial, list, equation, statistical, and programming functions. There is also an equation solver, engineering symbols, calculation mode chooser, etc, just as you would expect in a graphing calculator. Plus it looks cool! Definitely recommended as an affordable yet highly useful graphing calculator.
I love this calculator. I was very excited when i first got it because my friend had a casio and preferred it over a TI-... so i decited to try it. Well i have worked with a TI-83 and it could not compare to the easiness and speed as well as functions to this calculator. I would definately recommend this calculator to anyone. It is perfect even for if you dont have any classes that you would require this for. It has a financial function that allws you to find icomes your tax totals and everything you need to know for your financial needs. you can even save what you did the math on. I also liked the graph function it was pretty fast compared to a ti-83 and its easy to select which type of graph. I found out this one was etter than my friends! i'd give this calculator 5 stars.
The product was good especially for the price. The only thing is it didn't have a manual. Thank goodness for U tube. The packaging was great. The product came sooner than the estimated time. I'm happy.

Never having used a graphing calculator before, having liked the price, and having taken Algebra I, and anticipating more advanced math courses, I thought it was time to buy one and learn how to use a graphing calculator. The learning curve was not as steep as I thought it would be. It was fairly easy to learn; the written instructions were not as clear or as thorough as they could be. But from reading other books, and watching Tou Tube videos, I managed to learn the basics. One thing that would be nice, and I'm not sure if this is available on the fx-9750GPLUS product, is the ability to hook it up to the computer to save the graph to the computer, or even work the calculator from the computer. The extension cord (FA 124 USB) used with the product costs almost $30, but I'm not sure what it does, or what it connects to. (New models seem to have capacity to be hooked up to the computer.) New from the store, Casio is not terribly expensive, compared to Texas Instruments. It works fine. Course, learning to use the calculator means the student has minimal understanding of algebraic processes, but use of the calculator helps to improve comprehension of those concepts and most importantly grasping the realization that numbers are connected to reality and not just something to annoy people. All in all, the calculator was worth the expense, was worth the time spent in learning how to use it.Read full review
I bought it 2 week ago. I think I like it pretty much because it's easy to use and has a lot of function. However, some function is a bit confusing to me. Overall, it is good and I think I'd recommend others. It is inexpensive and light. It is good especially for students.
This calculator is a cost friendly item for those who need to use a graphing calculator. First of all it has a fraction key- missing in the TI 83's which lessens the frustration level of the students who jump from a simpler calculator to a more complicated version. The manual is user friendly as well as the icons on the calculatro tell you wher to go to do certain functions.
While it is an excellent calculator, and should not suffer from my review, the BEST thing about this calculator is that it is small enough to throw at the cat from across the room yet still tough enough to survive it. Texas Instruments and Hewlett Packard both make good products, but their aerodynamics are nothing compared to those of this Casio. It is well balanced and flies true. The case is firmly retained in the closed position, and it fits well in the hand. Just heavy enough to get the cats attention, while still light enough to avoid any permanent injury. A truly great tool, for both scientific calculation and feline discipline.
My calc class required a graphing calculator and strongly suggested a TI84. I bought this Casio instead. I was nervous about the purchase because I haven't used a graphing calculator in over ten years and, obviously, I wouldn't be able to follow along in class since they were all using TI84s. But, the price was right - so I bought it. It came with a fairly big user manual, but the index is SO easy to follow and the calculator itself is really user-friendly. I was up and graphing in NO time. I'm so glad I bought this and saved probably about a hundred bucks. Function for function this calculator is comparable to a TI84. I'm so glad I bought it.
I have taught AP Calculus for 24 years and my students have been much happier with the Casios than the TI's. The Casio menus are generally easier to use than the TI's. The Casio 9850GB Plus is a bit more expensive than the Casio 9750G Plus, but they are virtually the same calculator. The major difference is the 9850GB graphs in 3 colors and the 9750G does not. These calculators will not perform the algebraic manipulations that the Casio 2.0 does, but other than that, they will do EVERYTHING you need it to for either Calculus Advanced Placement Exams.
