SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs is an intense third-person shooter in military situations. This Sony PlayStation 2 video game features 12 single player missions. Individuals guide a four-man team through four regions in Alaska, Thailand, Turkmenistan, and the Congo. The typical missions in SOCOM: US Navy SEALs include killing terrorists, rescuing hostages, collecting intelligence, and demolishing terrorist bases. Players of this Sony PlayStation 2 video game assume the role of Kahuna as he completes missions with his three teammates Boomer, Specter, and Jester. The group is divided into two subgroups called Alpha and Bravo. The player of this third-person shooter game can control the two subgroups separately as well as navigate each teammate individually. SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs allows players to adjust their equipment inventory for their team and pick up any specialized equipment required for the specific round. At the end of each round, gamers are given a rating based on their successful display of stealth, teamwork, and accuracy.
