We bought this as a Christmas gift to my husband from our son. My son and I tested it when it came in. It was so cool & so much fun, he didn't want to wrap it! He wanted to leave it out so we could play it while my husband was at work! Anyways, it is a must have game for any NES & Monster truck enthusiast!

This is one of the best nintendo games ever..period!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bigfoot for the NES is a game forever etched in my mind from my childhood When i played this game as a kid, i never understood the controls, because i simply had the cart, and it didn't come with an instruction booklet, which is bad, because the controls for this game are REALLY weird. Not a hard problem to fix nowadays, what with the thousands of game sites, hell, you could probably get a .PDF of the manual. Anyways, in this game you play as an icon of the 1980s, Bigfoot, the worlds largest and most ass-kicking monster truck. You race from city to city in a top down view collecting power-ups and cash to upgrade your truck for the next competition in the next city. There are four types of competitions (Car Crush, Mud Race, Hill Climb, and Tractor Pull, plus one extra drag race at the end but thats essentially the same as the Car Crush but without the cars.) The sound is pretty much like any other NES game, The trucks make some pseudo-engine sound, the pickups go bloopity bloop, the buzzsaws (yes, your truck gets a buzzsaw with the powerup) goes BZZZZ, pretty basic stuff. Viewing the scoreboard in between rounds treats you to an 8 bit rendition of a bluegrass song. The graphics are probably where this game shine. Everything is shaded like it would be in real life. Cars looks like cars, trees look like trees, and trucks actually look like trucks, and depending on the state of your truck, The graphic changes (damaged tires appear smaller, a damaged engine smokes, etc.) nothing earth shattering but for the NES this was pretty decent. SUMMARY: All in all its a fun game to waste some time on every few weeks when you feel like playing it. You won't get absolutely hooked on this game and play for weeks straight, but for a couple of hours of button-mashing car crushing monster truck fun, pick this cart up, but make sure to check out an FAQ or you will not enjoy the game. Trust me, its better if you understand it. 4/5Read full review
