My first reaction to the title alone was that I would be getting a standard hack-n-slash with boob physics. Boob physics not withstanding, its anything but your average hack-n-slash. (Before I continue I should mention I have ridiculously high standards for games) Surprisingly enough, the game is fun, and with all the unlockables, a decent story, and five difficulty settings (Easy Normal Hard Violent Berserk) it has better replay value than most games on the market. Oh and depending on the timing with which you mash [X] you can do completely different combos (see Chaotic Luster Maelstrom). There is no online play but Onechanbara does support split-screen local play. In terms of DLC you have one free extra character and a bundle package for 1600 (M) that contains three more characters and some other crap. Lastly, for all the ladies or weird guys (xD okay.. I use it too) there is "Dress Up" mode where you dress your ladies up in whatever hot-pants or short-shorts you unlocked for them. --Bottom Line-- If you're looking for something different for a change of pace, like I was, you will find yourself pleasantly surprised at the amount of content in Onechanbara. Otherwise, stick to Halo, you fanboy.Read full review
This game is a definite hack and slash and follows in the spirit of dynasty warriors and samurai warriors. Who knew that you could definitely spice up the zombie genre by including samurai girls in bikinis? This game has gorgeous characters you can dress up, a pretty decent story line, and definitely a great way to pass the time. The graphics are pretty solid and its pretty fun to switch between characters and chop up monsters. There is even a girl with guns who carries unlimited bullets. The game starts off in normal mode which almost makes the bad guys just stand there but if you beat the game and want more a challenge they also include harder modes and possibly rewards for beating them. Bottom line, gorgeous girls, zombies to kill, great price, hard to pass up.
Girls in bikinis? Check Zombies? Check Girls in bikinis fighting said zombies? Check B Movie script? Check Loads of fun and entertainment? Check What more could be said about Onechanbara Bikini Samurai Squad? You play as one of three girls who fight zombies. Contains a B Movie script and overall graphical presentation. Anyone who's a fan of hack-n-slash games, zombie filled games, B movies, or a combination of the three are surely going to enjoy this game. My only complaints are the voice work was not redone in English and the font used for the text takes some getting used to for the story bits. Otherwise I love this game.
The case, game, and manual are all in great condition with very little wear on the disk.

Come on really just like that. Taking on the role of zombie slayer sisters Aya and Saki, as well as their police friend Annna, players progress through twenty gore-filled levels that feels as redundant as the one before it. After all, you can only take a game so far when all you do is slay zombies. Need a key? Slay two-hundred zombies to progress. Fighting a boss? Don’t worry another hundred zombies will be fighting alongside it. Although there is a little bit of variety, including an epic fight with a zombie orca, many of the levels have the player going through hordes of undead to find a key at the other side of a map only to backtrack once you have it. Let me say it. Onechanbara: Bikini Zombie Slayers is not a classic. Even at the game’s low price of $39.99, I would be inclined to say that it’s overpriced with it's craptastic storyline, an outdated presentation, and redundant gameplay. Come on guys don'y buy this, save your money for porn or something.Read full review

But if you want girls in bikinis destroying zombies, there's plent of that, here. There are limited ways to kill a zombie with a sword, so to those who have complained about the repetitiveness, I would have to ask what they thought they were getting? This game does what it purports to do. It is reasonbly fast action reasonably challenging pictoral of sexy girls chopping up zombies. It ain't rocket science. Graphics are good. It's an enjoyable play.
