I needed a new multi-meter; my 14 year old one finally bit the dust. In addition to the voltage and resistance measurements, I needed the ability to measure AC current - up to 10 amps. This multi-meter had all the capability I needed (plus additional features I haven't tested yet). The probes have small fine tips, which make them easy to use without accidentally shorting to adjacent contacts. The only feature I miss is it does not ship with alligator clip probes, which would be helpful - the tips of the included probes are too fine to attach clip leads. They do offer probes with alligator tips and I have those on order. A nice touch is a hinged plate on the back which makes a convenient stand. The unit feels rugged, and I expect years of service from it.

Needed a reliable and durable auto scaling meter for troubleshooting home and auto repairs and didn’t want to spend more than $50. This meter is the best solution for me. Backlight and easy to read scale is a bonus. Also the thermocouple is a bonus. The only thing missing is a set of clip on leads.
