A good product that will do the job, not good for non 35mm negatives and the software can sometimes be a little slow, but once installed very easy to use and highly portable.

For just over £20 it is okay just don't expect a lot. Setting up was quite straight forward but while setting up it asks for product id number but doesn't say where to find said number. At first the only number I could find was on the scanners base plate, that's not it, spent hours trying to get it to work. Wasn't until I tried again another day starting a new from scratch that I happened to find another id number on the envelope that the programs mini disc comes in. That's the one. Anyway as a slide scanner it's about on par with those hand held battery viewers you used to view the slides on. They were good for viewing the slides to see how well they'd come out when you got them back from the developers but to appreciate the slides properly you needed to see them projected on to a screen. Well this scanner is pretty much the same. It gives you an idea of what the slide looks like and allows you some simple basic tweaks to brightness, contrast and colour saturation but the image edit in your computer gives you pretty much the same. So for a little over £20 it's a good start but you'll soon be hankering after something more sophisticated.Read full review

I bought this item looking to convert my many slides to jpg format. It is easy to set up and use but the brightness and resolution of the resulting images was disappointing. Perhaps I should have spent more money

I have tried with a few 35mm film strips, but it has not been as quick, or as successful as a Kodak device I was using (sadly, the latter - which was excellent for slides and transparencies - suddenly died on me. The transfer motor packed up). I will persis with the Konig, but have noticed that it sometimes crops wanted edges of negative.

The slide carriers have landscape apertures and my old slides are square meaning that the digital reproduction is cropped. Although I followed the manual's instructions, initially I couldn't get the device to work and emailed Konig for advice. They responded promptly and was learned that you have to key the serial number from the cd envelope in order to activate the software. The manual makes no mention of this so I had an hour of frustration before I eventually got it working. The slide carriers are tricky to open, flimsy and feel like they'll break every time you swap slides. Overall it's ok for the price and once you've copied your slides it becomes redundant anyway.

Love this, it is so easy to use (once installed the software) and results are great, digital copies of some great memories from the analogue days! Yes it is plastic but it needs not be a solid build, it is perfect for the job and at a super price.

works quite well but is not user-friendly; instructions are too sparse. It is not plug and play; be sure to upload the software before connecting the scanner. Do not attach the device to the PC until you have got the software on the drive. Opening the plastic film-strip holder is also stressful. Best to grope around it a bit, go for a walk, grope a bit more, have a drink, take a nap, grope again. Get there in the end.

I purchased this item as we were attempting to rescue photos that we've taken over the years, tried to load onto my windows 8 laptop. The shortcut made it to my home screen, however when I attempted to scan a photo nothing happened. The light was on inside the scanner but I have been unable to scan anything!! 😤😤

Very good for what it’s designers intended. I was able to scan all my35mm negatives into digital and really easy to use. Fitting allow for other size of negatives to be scanned as well.
