This is a very good piece of kit, it is very well made and does a very easy job of opening all types of tins. It also has a very handy bottle opener and incorporated is a very quick and easy knife sharpener. I would recommend it to anyone.

For a Kenwood product it is a let down. The design whereby the can is attached to the machine I find it very difficult to attach the can. Those of us with arthritic fingers have to lift the machine, tilt it to see to attach the can then place the machine back on the table top. Actually attaching the can to the drive wheel is also very fiddly. However, when eventually the can is attached to the drive wheel and the cutter enters the can, the machine works exactly as I would expect from a Kenwood product and cuts nicely. Fairly quiet operation. Unfortunately the design whereby how the the can is initially attached is poorly designed, especially for those with hand defects. That bad design detracts from the very good knife sharpener. Perhaps the bottle opener is superfluous as I have to hold the machine to use the bottle opener. All in all a disappointment therefore not value for money in my oipinion. So sorry but it lets down Kenwood's usually very good products.Read full review

We have had so many problems in the past with opening cans, so after reviewing many types we decided on the Kenwood CO600. It works perfectly everytime (so far) without mess. The addition of the knife sharpener and bottle opener are an added bonus, although I do not think the bottle opener is necessary.

I am so glad i bought this. I need tins opened every day and was getting sick and tired and stressed out with cheap manual tin openers breaking pretty much all the time. This tin opener is quick and easy to use. It has a bottle opener and knife sharpener on it too. I will never go back to manual never again! Fully recommend

We had had this item for a couple of weeks now. It is too early to give a proper review however, I am prepared to give an initial review of this item. The item requires little assembly out of the box. How to use - Locate cutter to the edge of tin, Allow magnetic grip to clasp the lid and whilst gently holding the tin in one hand, push down the lever top to operate the motor. Strengths: - The opener opens most tins of a standard size such as, beans peas etc. - Fully electric, with low power consumption (40w). - Opens items quickly, automatically. Weaknesses: - Many tins come now-days with ring-pulls and therefore need no opener. - Those that don't are usually an awkward size. e.g. Pie tins it struggles to open. (you may need a manual opener to completely release the lid). - No easy lid release found. (care needs to be taken when releasing lid.) - Must hold the rest of the can to stop it from falling. This is not a 5* product and on balance for our needs, just scraped a 4*.Those of us who struggle with manual openers may find this product useful. However, it does not open everything. If it outlasts a manual opener, then its a 4* product. If it doesn't, then all my recommendation (above) would change. Hope you find this useful.Read full review
