Good sound quality and reasonably low price
It's hard to tell if this is a genuine Samsung AKG earbuds since I don't have one to compare with. But generally speaking, it's better than those no-brand headphones/earbuds you would pick up from a retail store. It also comes with 2 extra ear gels (one small and one large) so you can choose the one that fits most comfortably in your ears. The remote control (with +/- volume, play/stop or pickup call buttons) functions very well and is compatible with my LG phone. The only thing to complain about is that the remote control is too close to the earbud on one side. It would be idea if it's more close to the chest or the neck area so you can actually see which buttons you're pressing. But I guess once you get used to it you can operate the buttons which looking at them. Overall, a good purchase. Hope it will last long.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Excellent headphones (if they're the real thing that is)
These headphones are clearly designed to leverage on the AKG brand without actually being the official AKG headphones that come with newer galaxy phones. They look very similar (knockoffs on the left, true AKG's on the right in the photo), almost identical, and if you didn't already own an actual set, it'd be impossible to tell the difference, until you listen to them. The pair I ordered that were listed as "OEM" couldn't be further from; there is a night and day difference in clarity and richness of the sound they produce compared to the real thing. They sound very poor, to be blunt. The bass is muffled, as are the highs, almost as if you were listening to them under a blanket. Within a few days, the right earbud stopped working intermittently, and I started noticing distortion during calls. Bottom line, the actual AKG headphones are excellent, easily producing some of the most vibrant, detailed and accurate sound one can get via a headphone jack in 2019. I highly recommend those, and I will continue trying to track down a legitimate second set. Just make sure you don't fall for a sham and get knockoffs like myself.

I have gone Bluetooth instead of the wire.
The problem I find with these like any of it's kind is the wire. I have since gone blue tooth and just wear a collar around my neck. You have controls for on/off/ volume and turning the phone on to answer. Much easier to use and I don't have to take my phone of it's belt clip to answer the phone. I can also recharge the wireless handset with it's long life of usage. I do not like the kind that hand from your ear.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great product!
I received these buds about 2 weeks ago and I really like them. I read a review that mentioned that ear buds sometimes need to loosen up which is the case here. When I first used them the output and fidelity seemed to be poor but the more I used them the better they sounded. The only negative is these didn't come with different size gel inserts as I use large. I just bought some cheap ear buds and used those inserts, otherwise these sound great! Broke after three weeks :/

The real deal.
As somebody who listen to music a lot every single day, I knew that these were the only choice. I bought the S8 and I had an original pair, with it I realized that the quality is phenomenal for earbuds. My first set broke one earbud was quieter than the other. Over the ear is the way to go when it comes to sound quality, but the earbuds are there for convenience. The bass is well heard but not pounding like a woofer. The mids and highs are clear and distort free. The only issue I have with these headphones is that the cord is fiber which likes to clump up over time.
