  • Great little soundbar with Great Sound Quality

The Sony 65X950H TV is okay with sound and would do, but I love music and wanted more out of the sound of DVD movies. So I got the X8500 sound bar, I didn't want a boom box so I went with this Bat with the built in Woofers. Believe you me, Great sound and wellworth the price, plus it didn't break the bank. I'm very glad I went with the Sony Soundbar, Easy setup and well worth the price.

  • Great sound bar & simple to use

Very pleased with this device so far, sound quality is much better than my built-in TV speakers. I didn't want a big complicated receiver to get multichannel audio so went with a soundbar. It has several customization options (I have yet to sample them all...) and setup was easy via HDMI/ARC. I have a Sony TV so tried connecting via Bluetooth first but couldn't get it to pair with the sound bar, oh well.

  • GREAT sound, if a little light on bass

A single-unit soundbar handling 2.1 and virtualized 7.1.2 is going to have a lot on its plate, so to speak, in reproducing audio. Low-end bass, as well as surround and height channels, from a single bar is going to be challenging no matter who makes it (though apparently Yamaha and Sennheiser have both succeeded pretty well with their top-shelf examples). This is a decent offering from Sony that is nicely-designed, VERY easy to setup, and offers very good sound, especially with virtual Dolby Atmos. The subwoofer frequencies aren’t quite going to be what a separate subwoofer could actually handle, but it has decent balance and delivery! Center channel dialogue is well-done, and overall a worthy soundbar. Sonos’ Beam (2nd Generation) can now handle Atmos as well, and is a similar price point at MSRP; so, depending on what your needs are (do you like a lot of rumbling bass? Do you even care about Atmos / DTS:X audio?), this may be perfect for you as a relatively-simple solution for a bedroom or living room sound addition!

  • worth the price. packs a punch

it's a basic setup and yes, it's LOUD. There is no thunderous bass, but it does the job for a bedroom or small living room setup. Only gripe i can say is the placement of the hdmi connectors. the cables get in the way and makes it tough to mount on a wall.

  • The sound makes watching TV so much enjoyable

I was very pleasantly surprised with the ease of hooking up the Soundbar in less than 10 minutes, the. Sound quality is great, it picks up every little sound and you realize the sounds you were missing out

  • Good enought for the money

The sound is okay good enough for a mid size room, if the bass increase then the dialog sounds very muffle. it would be good if you can see the settings on the TV rather then guessing.

  • Excellent sound bar

The bar has very good sound. Easy to setup. It looks very stylish and complements very well my Sony TV.

  • Great all-in-one soundbar

This is a very good sound bar. It pouches well above its class.. You can tell that it is a premium sound bar by the touch and feel of material.. Don’t expect it to rattle your windows with base.. if that is what you are looking for then find a sound bar with a subwoofer. This sound-bar will give you good base. It is for small rooms like apartments etc..

  • Not good sound bar

The sound bar is without subwoofer No way to add on one It is worse sounding than cheaper model with subwoofer Not a good value either If there is option to return , I will

  • TR-8500

Wish the set up instructions were a bit clearer. Took over a week to figure it out. Still have a few kinks with the Dolby digital set up but that may be with my HDTV.
