Seemed like a good idea.
The very first time I heated it the plate cracked about 75mm down one seam. The instructions clearly state not to heat more than 90sec without food on it. I was merely curing the plate like every other one I've ever used. Low heat, plenty of oil, and bang. Broken plate. Cooker and flat plate are awesome, only downside is that you have to buy 3 different attachments to run it off a 4.5kg gas bottle because Coleman make a specific Coleman fitting and you can’t buy anything aftermarket to eliminate the stem that’s used for throw away canisters.
