Don't trust anything else
I've used these for years on all my vehicles and never hit a kangaroo, rarely see them either. This is in situations too where travelling the same roads as friends and they see a lot of kangaroos and have hit them. I would highly recommend these as the only 'animal whistles' that work, the electronic ones DO NOT work, and having tried other brands you can hear the whistling, and if you can hear it then it won't be the producing high pitch sonic whistle that moves animals on.

Genuine product, well made, but I don't think it does anything.
Well it's well made, and as far as I can tell the original version. But in terms of working to scare roos from the road, I don't think it does anything. I live in a rural area with lots of roos, and when driving towards them on the highway or local roads at any speed (80, 110, doesn't seem to matter) they just sit there looking at me exactly the same as they do for a vehicle without ShooRoos. Not a huge investment to test for yourself though..
