Solid effort by the German heavy metallers
Great album which starts in strong catchy and groove-laden fashion with the riff-filled "Angels of Mercy", a total homage to the classic heavy metal sound of the 80's and 90's, followed by another crusher: "The End is Near" sporting a strong, massive riff backed by furious drumming. From here on it is all top quality traditional heavy metal of the finest caliber, top-notch production, mastering and catchy compositions. The privileged voice of Ralf Scheepers plus the -first time in their career- three lead guitar lineup make up for an impressive listening experience. Primal Fear is the kind of band that will grip you by the balls and will not let go untill you are singing out loud their insanely catchy choruses. Saying their brand of metal is a masterful mix of classic-era Helloween and the heaviest version or Judas Priest is a total understatement. This edition contains an additional DVD with bonus content of their two most recent videos along with interviews with some band members. This album is a strong contender to enter many best-of the-year Top10 lists so, I cannot recommend it enough.

Great collection on cd&dvd...
If you want an excellent recent Primal Fear concert dvd & cd, you will be continually satisfied with this combo. The filming is super,as is the sound quality. You are up close and personal with them on stage in Germany. will play on all USA dvd players. Get this one, first, then another greatest hits cd set, after this set. You will be glad you did.
