be very careful and cautious of these ebay sellers stating that for these wireless routers you only need to plug and play these dual 5.0/2.4ghz wirless routers. Because thats not the case!!! Some of these con kids or old men scams don't tell the full story! When you upgrade these antennas with the appropriated u.fl connectors that don't require soldering and minor-mini welding; these ebay sellers forget to mention or hide that these antenna fixture only applies to the 5.0hz range. That is why the range is still poor after the upgrade on the 5.0 ghz range(in addition you need ohter hardwares). But the 2.4gh range is still poor! Unless, you have desoldered and soldered carefully 2.4ghz connectors in the right work environment. And this can dangerous and costly! so take care when these kids and adults are trying to scam a story on ebay or craig's list or whereever! Goto a certified technician to have it done properly. i would never trust someone who is just wing'in it! i.e; would you trust a kid or an adult's word that they are medically capable of vertebrae disc replacements? Electrical engineering certification are no more different than a medical degree execept that some EE occupations can be extremely difficult! the dd-wrt is not recommended; its way to buggy and basically identical to most OEM's. moreover, the pwer output and cloaking features and various security do not work effectively. in its infantile beta forms, dd-wrt is not recommneded to anyone who not in the technical field and/or IT field. so don't blame the brouter or software if you are trying to be savvy!Read full review
great router and easy to use and hook up. I have had a netgear wired for a long time. I wanted to try wireless but soon found out they dont work with a wireless modem. It works fine and I will use when I go with a broasband next.
I already own one of these and this will be my second. These have the "repeater" function which allows you to pick up a wireless signall and then repeat it, thereby increase the distance of your wireless signal. We'll be using this inside a guest house picking up the signal from inside our home. Super easy to use.
The unit was received quickly and works perfectly. Fortunately, I was not interested in the external storage because there was no connection for the "-100NAS" usb drive. (Also, this designation did not appear on the unit.) After testing the unit, I installed DD-WRT firmware so that I could set up a "client bridge". The unit has worked well now for over a month.
