I was delighted to see the release of Let's Be Friends on CD because of the connection to my childhood and the album has been long gone. While the budget minded Camden label has certainly taken more than it's fair share of abuse from Elvis purists and critics alike due to the travelogue movie soundtracks and obscure song selections that appear, I look at it from a marketing perspective and the targeted consumer base back then. For a kid with nothing more than a fixed income (think allowance) to own an actual Elvis album suddenly became affordable. And interestingly enough since history has a way of repeating itself, the Camden releases on CD are pretty much in line with the price of the same albums back in the day. So treat yourself like I did and reconnect with something from your past for about the price of a large Starbuck's coffee. It'll outlast a hot beverage and you'll have something to show for it.Read full review

I have it listed in the Elvis Anthropology collection of his sheet music which I play often. That is a 2 volume collection by Hal Leonard.
Second Elvis release in the RCA Camden budget series --after "sings Flaming Star".Songs cobbled together from later period films & studio sessions make for a pleasant surprise.Though short--9 songs--this comeback era title is also short on price. Should be in any Elvis collection. And others will find it enjoyable, also.
