Well designed with all features needed to do a great job with my much used Video Recorder, but unfortunately, the most used buttons like Play, Pause, and Fast Forward wear out too quickly, requiring periodic replacement. Thank goodness it continues to be readily available,

My new DVD remote works instantly, unlike my original remote which was probably wearing out. One feature I miss is being able to search for movies in the TV guide. Another is the -10s manual skip button which does not exist on the replacement remote. I can still search for movies using my original remote. So now I have 3 remotes: one for the TV and two for the DVD, depending on which functions I want to use.

the main problem is the location of the TV volume up and down button has been swapped over with channel change button and is very annoying when you have two of these units in the house the other problem is there is no button to put the subtitles on or off which makes the unit virtual useless for me
