The book is required for my Human Physiology lecture. I was told to buy the book and read it. Chapter 4 was really easy to read, and I understood. Also Chapter 5 really helped me to understand Signal Transduction. Chapter 6 had too much information in it. It should have been two chapters instead of one chapter. Chapters 1-3 were a good review of General Chemistry and easy to read. I also read chapter 7. I really did not understand a lot of stuff in the chapter about the eyes. There was too much information in that chapter. The class is just an undergraduate class and not a graduate or medical school class.
This book saved me about 100$. Many people discourage others from buying international versions, but until textbook publishers stop being price gougers, I have no problem buying the international version. The only semi-negative thing that I can agree with some people about is that the paper is thin, and I imagine that might bother some readers. I would heavily encourage anyone to buy this book instead of the domestic version, even if they buy it used.
There was really nothing that could have made this transaction any better than it was. I received exactly what I ordered: A textbook delivered brand new, as advertised, with fast shipping - at a very competitive price. The shipping is free or included in the price (which makes the pricing very straightforward). I was updated quickly on order status and I received a tracking number for the shipment within about a day. Therefore, there was never any doubt about shipment status or location. From the moment I clicked the mouse to make the purchase, to the moment that I received the textbook at my doorstep was a period of time that was only a few minutes over 3 days. To me, the thing that makes this remarkable is the fact that the package had to travel almost 15,000 miles to get to my location!!Read full review
The book is exactly the same as the U.S version besides the differences in the cover image and the material (hardcover U.S. vs softcover). The international version is cheaper and also lighter in weight which makes it easier for me to carry to class when needed. I'm also budget-minded so this alternative version of the textbook is preferable since it's a little more than half the price of the U.S' hardcover book. The only bad thing I can say about buying the int. version in the U.S. is assuming that I will have a hard time selling the book back to students. Save money, buy the int. way

Like many American college students, I have become disgusted at the textbook prices we are forced to payout at the beginning of each school session. Not uncommon is paying over $150 for a single hardcover textbook these days. Sadly, many professors are at the mercy of the distributors or schools, and have little choice as to which version they are using for their classes. Luckily, international versions often are distributed as paperbacks which drastically reduce the prices, as is the case here. Same book with nothing sacrificed except for the weight on your back as you carry the book to class. Highly recommended.
This book is exactly like the US edition of the book, but more than half off. Page numbers, figures, pictures, and even questions are the same. The only difference is the cover. Much more lightweight since it lacks the hardcover. Very happy with the international edition.
Very good information. Very useful for class. Had all information as listed in the American version. It saved me alot of money. This book is easy to follow along with and study.
the only difference is the picture cover but its the same as the US edition but way less expensive. also it's paperback so it's much lighter compared to the hardbound they sell at campus bookstores.
I loved how fast i got the book! :) It was was a very good price instead of having to buy the book from school. I saved almost triple the price. The only thing i was thrown off by was the cover. I thought it was a hardcover book instead of a softcover book but its the same as the hardcover.
