Excellent, excellent financial calculator by HP. I needed a calculator that could keep up with my fast key pressing during a certification exam, for example. This calculator does just that. The product looks and feels solid. The contrast of the screen can be adjusted and the numbers show up clearly. Prior I had purchased a Texas BA II Plus and it was complete junk. It had severe issues with registering key presses quickly. This calculator replaced the BA II Plus I had and I am very satisfied. Only complaint with the HP 10bII is that it does not have an algebraic mode to my knowledge but having ( ) keys makes up for that.

Shipping was great, it was delivered in less than 36 hours. The product itself was still in its original hard plastic sealed container. The problem was that the screen was cracked and unreadable and when we put new batteries in it, which is what we thought the problem was, it appeared to "fry" the calculator. It's not the end of the world and the price was great but we won't buy that again.

HP is the best calculator manufacturer in the world. Their calculators are innovative, efficient and effective. I love my HP 10bii. I'm in commercial and industrial real estate. I can use my calculator to quickly determine what a property should sell for in order for an investor to realize a specific cash-on-cash return taking into account: The properties NOI The Interest Rate(s) of the Loan(s) The Amount(s) financed and term(s) With a regular calculator this would be nearly impossible. But, with my HP, I can whip it out in about 20 seconds. I can then play what-if by plugging in different interest rates, terms, and income streams. It's very handy. It's also a great calculator for non-financial problems. The display is very easy to read and the buttons are responsive and tactile. The layout is good and the battery life is also good. I am a tutor of college Acoounting and Business Finance and recomend these to all my students. For the money, even at retail, they are worth every penny. It is an excellent beginning financial calculator; not too hard to learn to use but powerful enough to tackle the hard problems. It won't do everything but it does most of what beginning and even some itermediate students in Accounting and Finance need done and it does it quickly, easily and accurately. No better one on the market and I have been using calculators since there were no calculators, in other words, since the very beginning. I have used several different makers and types and bar none, this is the best. If you are a beginning business student get one and get it early so you can use it for more of your classes...it even does a bit of statistics as an added bonus. So, get the best and enjoy your classes more since this little jewel takes most of the pain and hassle out of learning all those time value of money formulas! I bought the HP-10BII calculator for a finance class in my MBA program. This was the calculator being used by the professor. The calculator is very easy to use and comes with a manual that gives some very good examples of using the different financial functions. Calculating TMV and EARs were a cinch. This is definitely a good product to buy for a finance class. Despite it's title, this is a financial calculator and I would not describe it as a scientific calculator. If trying to use this calculator as a true scientic calculator, then I would recommend going for other models. The scientific mode is not that great. Doing calculations containing multiple factors is much easier on other scientifc calculators (e.g TI-30XA).
This is a very good business, finance, or accounting calculator. It is as good as the Texas Instruments BA II. I was very pleased with all the functions and features this HP has I will buy more, this does a nice job with IRR and amortization payments for real estate, etec.

The HP-10BII calculator works well as a financial or scientific calculator. Nevertheless, the original HP-10B (not the BII model) is much desirable. Although the 10BII shows some new capabilities, the keystrokes are very similar and the 10BII has a cheap feel to the buttons when pressed and sometimes the number or function doesn't register when the button is pressed (welcome to cost cutting!). You will not have any problem to find a HP-10B on eBay today and I think it is a better investment than the HP-10BII. The 10B has been produced first in Singapor (we can identify it because it shows 5 rubber feet on the back) and secondly in Indonesia (this one shows 3 rubber feet only on the back). The singaporian model is the one to look for, particularly if you are a collector. Keep an Indonesian model if you like variations and because it is a better model than the 10BII.Read full review
The HP10Bii calculator has a nice keyboard and LCD display. While I much prefer RPN to algebraic calculators, this algebraic calculator is easy to use, fast, inexpensive and feels like a high quality device.

I love this calculator and I have used one version or another of it for 20+ years. I bought this one to keep in my car - I already have one at home and in the office. It's easy to use and candidly it can do more than I will ever need. Unless you desperately need the capabilities of an HP 12C with its kind of odd method of data entry, this one gets it done more easily and for less money.

I really love this item my instructor told me that I needed one for class. I found this one and I used it for class and I passed, Ohoo. It has a lot of functions and capabilities which is nice. I have not had a problem with it since I have had it. I love HP products I have never had a problem with them and they are dependable. HP's support staff is also great to work with.
