Not only is this the fastest f-Stop lens Nikon sell, but it's very likely the last fully manual lens they will ever make. Literally the same lens they sold in 1978, still made in Japan. Pro: High quality metal construction, fastest 50mm currently available. Very unlikely to be around new for much longer. Cons: Manual focus make it difficult to use in the modern world, very narrow depth of field fully open f1.2 requires a lot more skill than contemporary autofocus lenses.

Beautifully built lens with a smooth as silk focus throw, perfect for video. Huge aperture allows for lower ISO in low light. If you can find a used on in mint condition grab it.

A superb little nifty fifty, very sharp, and robust.

Great lens, made in Japan, all metal but not weather proof. Sharp from F2. At 1.2 it's soft on a D810 and a D4. Nice bokeh. 52mm Filter thread. HS2 hood all metal but a little bit fiddly to use. Did not see much vignetting even with a filter mounted on the lens. Quality lens overall.
