It is just a latch . No motor. You can transplant the the motor from your old one onto this one but in order to do so you will have to drill out the metal rivets that hold the motor on. Then you have to figure out how to reattach it. It can be done if you are inclined to go through the trouble. The other option is to just not have an electric lock. The only reason it does not get more stars is because it is pricey.
