Good value for sanding and grinding
This pad is a hard back and it's good if you want to use stick on grinding sandpaper. I don't use a string type polishing pad, they make a mess and don't work well. So use it carefully, those makitas have a lot of power.

Great Value Replacement
I bought this to replace my Wen 946 back-up pad that delaminated from use. This Makita is a thicker more heavy duty part than what I had. The hook and loop seems more secure.
