Strong, but not a forged unit
I don't remember seeing in the description if the unit was cast or forged. I did purchase the HR ring and pinion because of the helical cut and increased surface area of the gears. I assumed this gear would hold up better to a 6 cell powered 2200 Castle motor (I've busted about 4-6 stock pinions) and Proline Trencher tires. I lost the gear in about 10 minutes...this may be due to the fact that the slipper clutch was a tad too tight. Take heed of how tight your slipper is before applying full power in high traction areas.
