Factory brand filters
If you own a Drinkwell fountain, stick to the Drinkwell brand filters. I've tried generic replacements and they don't work as well as Drinkwell. With that being said, none of the filters...Drinkwell or generic last as long as they say. The instructions say you can get about 2 weeks out of the filters, but I've found that our Avalon fountain starts bogging down and the water flow gets very minimal after about 1 week. I always replace both the charcoal filter and the foam filter that goes around the pump assembly. I don't take chances with my 2 cats, because I want them to have plenty of fresh water to drink on a daily basis.

Small but powerful
It is amazing how these little filters make all the difference in using the Drinkwell pet fountain. The filters last awhile and if they are dirty they will not allow the fountain water to flow properly. We replaced ours and it is like having a new fountain. Great output, the price was great and it arrived super fast.

Pricey but good
I had another pet fountain before ordering this new one, if I had done a better job of researching I probably wouldn't have ordered because of the cost of the filters. The generic versions aren't any cheaper so I stay with the name brand, it works well.

Does what its supposed to do!
This product does what its supposed to do. I previously ordered what ended up being a knock off - and a poor one at that, breaking down and leaking carbon into my pets water after less than a week. Made sure to order the real thing and it holds up like its supposed to.
