    Bear Weather Arrow Rest

    My target shooting definitely improved with it. I will continue to buy them and use them. My only downside is how quickly they wear out using stiff feather fletching. I use Gold Tip traditional carbon arrows and the fletching is cutting it up pretty fast. The plastic fletching doesn't seem as tough on it but shooting traditional I use the feather fletching and really like the way they fly.

    Bear Weather Rest

    Although the Bear Weather Rest is described as a device to used on "youth" bows, I found it to be very effective when shooting aluminum, plastic vane fletched arrows with my Samick Sage bow. It is quite easy to install. Provides a very limited degree of adjustment (you are given two adhesive pads to attach it to the bow which allows you a small amount of latitude for moving the mount a slight distance away from the bow. The material for which it is made, a resilient rubber, seems to hold up well through use (I've probably shot at least 500 arrows off of the one I have on my bow. I tried to put a low cost, adjustable arrow rest on my bow, thinking that being able to move the arrow away from the bow might improve my accuracy. The result was the new rest tore the vanes off of most of the arrows I shot using it. I quickly removed the adjustable rest and re-installed the Bear rest, and have lost no vanes from the rest tearing them off. I'm just a hobbyist so ultimate accuracy is not something that keeps me awake at night, but being able to go out and shoot my bow without coming home and spending the next hour or so repair arrows is a big plus. For the money I can't imagine a rest that provides a better value and more suitable for its purpose.

    Excellent for bow hunters

    Most bow shelf rests are hard plastics or metal. Sometimes arrows being drawn will make a slight noise. These are rubber so there is no noise great for bow hunters.

    Great for vanes.

    It does make the difference when shooting with vanes instead of feathers. Move the nock point about 3/4 in higher on the string and voilá. Set up complete.
