01 Suburban direct replacement
I installed this in my suburban and after adding some actual poly fill to the factory sub box it sounds great the front will not fit due to the enclosure but it's not needed anyway. It does not sound like a big subwoofer but I did not expect it to. It just added that lower range of sound I desired. Powering this with the stock amplifier. Added a jbl 250 by one amplifier to run just cooked the amp before the speaker blew had to go back to factory amp until the new gets hereVerified purchase: YesCondition: New

I have these mb quart subs installed in a 2011 f 150 in a double custom sealed enclosure with a 2 ohm load and running a alpine mrv 500 mono amp and they just sound terrible wish I would have went with my gut instinct and bought the alpines guess the old tried and true saying still stands !! Perfect Drop In Replacement for Older Suburbans
Searched for a while to find an 8" shallow mount sub for my 2001 Suburban that didn't require saws or custom boxes or other modifications to either the speaker or my vehicle. This is the one!! It has dual 4ohm voice coils, so you need to connect the leads in parallel to drop it to 2ohm to match the factory amplifier output. Easy task. Then it just pops into the old sub's box.
